An experienced, committed, professional, and hard working, permanent, Second Officer is required immediately for a 55-metre private motor yacht based in the Mediterranean Sea. The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of Officer of the Watch (OOW) < 3000 GT CoC and have a good amount of experience within the yachting industry. This role is onboard a busy vessel with good owner usage allowing the right person to get great boss on experience and sea time to match. You should have experience and understanding of ISM and ISPS processes as well as the leadership qualities and deck skills expected of such a position. The vessel will be cruising the Aegean Sea this summer before entering a shipyard period.
 
The start date for this role is immediate so you will need to fly ASAP.

Job Specification
  • Valid STCW '10 Certificates
  • Valid ENG1 Medical with no restrictions
  • Valid Seaman's Book and Passport
  • Candidates must hold a valid Schengen visa or permission to work in the EU through work permit or passport.
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Proficiency in Security Awareness (PSA) and Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
  • Officer of the Watch (OOW) < 3000 GT CoC or equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years in similar role and rank experience on a yacht
  • Good leadership skills and professionalism
  • Good health and good sobriety
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Must have good written references and contact details must be provided
  • No visible tattoos and no smokers
  • Must hold PWC Instructor certificate
