Job Advert

An experienced, hands-on, hard-working, and suitably qualified Marina Supervisor is required for a luxury marina in Cape Town, South Africa. The marina forms part of a private precinct, which is well established and supported by a team of property managers and maritime professionals. The ideal candidate should have some life experience behind them, be in good physical condition, be able to plan and execute both planned and unplanned maintenance, and ideally have worked in a restoration environment before, i.e., a shipyard, motor vehicle workshop, or as a shop steward/foreman.  You should have excellent interpersonal skills as well as the leadership to manage contractors, other team members, and a Marina Assistant. You will also need to be competent in welding, carpentry, and some electrical work as the marina is due to renovate and upgrade their current dock infrastructure. The committee is looking for a person who is proactive, self-motivated, and attentive to the needs of the property owners as well as improving the marina across the board. Space is, however, given for the right person to grow into the role with the support of the management team and active berth owners.

The start date for this role is as soon as possible and is available to those who are still employed and needing to serve notice.
Two rounds of interviews will be held with the client prior to employment and references will be checked.
