A well-rounded, experienced and suitably qualified rotational 2nd Engineer (Min Y3 / EOOW) is required to join a 75m+ superyacht based in the Mediterranean Sea.  The vessel is commercially registered and operates both private and commercial charters. The right candidate should have a solid maritime engineering foundation and the skills and knowledge to operate and maintain all systems onboard.  Reporting to the Chief Engineer you will be required to keep a good record of works using the onboard planned maintenance system (PMS) and operate autonomously according to the engine room standing orders.  Knowledge of CATERPILLAR machinery advantageous but not required.  Vessel is looking for an engineer with good character and strong work ethic.
 
Candidates must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
 
The start date for this position is the 8th November 2021 however the vessel is willing to make allowance for the right candidate.
COVID restrictions including any potential quarantine will be observed prior to joining.
Job Specification
  • Valid STCW '10 Certificates
  • Valid ENG1 Medical with no restrictions
  • Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
  • Certificate of Competency (COC) - Min Y3 or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ Years yachting experience
  • Hands on well rounded engineer willing to apply themselves to any task
  • Experience with planned maintenance systems important 
  • Good health and good sobriety
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Must have good electrical knowledge / ability
  • Must have good written references and contact details must be provided
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
  • EU / UK passport holders preferred
