A prestigious company on the Gulf Coast is looking for Drill Engineer with 6 to 8 years of drilling experience. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and previous Gulf Coast experience drilling Directional and Horizontal wells if required.
 
This position will be responsible for:
  • Preparing well data sheets
  • Designing and selecting well-head equipment
  • Drawing up drill programs and taking account of desired production rates
  • Monitoring the daily progress of well operations
Job Specification
  • The candidate must be willing to work remotely and on offshore installations
  • Must have the ability to handle rig operations, develop ideas and work with little supervision
  • Drilling design and operations experience planning and executing offshore wells
  • A high level of numeracy and IT skills is a plus
  • Able to organize and prioritize a diverse and heavy workload
  • Communicate effectively as a team player in building relationships
  • Have a strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectively
  • Willing to work a demanding and flexible schedule
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as industry casing and well design software
  • Available as directed, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
