A marine asset management company is looking for a Marine or Mechanical Engineer for a full time position. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture with at least 4 years experience in a similar role. Ideally the individual should have the ability to work in a highly variable work environment and adapt quickly to new tasking. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are key. This position requires excellent client-relationship development and management skills, and an outstanding ability to simultaneously manage multiple high visibility efforts, and respond to emerging issues. Direct client-facing contracting and/or consulting experience is also required.
Job Specification
  • Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience spanning all phases of ship production (pre, during and post)
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP)/Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) development process
  • Experience with the development and revision of ship drawings, developing specification packages, and military ship design
  • AutoCAD
  • Site visits require travel time along much of the eastern seaboard
