An experienced and suitably qualified Chief Engineer who holds an Unlmited ticket is required for a well known European shipping company which managers a global fleet of reefer and container ships. The vacancy within the business is to provide specialist skills onboard key ocean crossing voyages, refit and new build works and technical troubleshooting of all onboard plant and machinery as well as reefer systems. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge and experience with citrus and/or frozen seafood shipping. Training in PPECB protocol, special cold treatment standards as well as USDA Cargo requirements is preferred. Candidates would be required to join voyages of 3-5 months in duration. Long term employment is available based on performance. This role is also open to all candidates willing to commit long term with the company and to build upon their skills within the Reefer Shipping industry.
The start date for this role would be flexible for the right candidate but preferably as soon as possible.
