A 40m motor yacht is currently searching for a rotational Chief Engineer to take on the responsibility of the operational maintenance of the vessels engine room and onboard engineering systems. Supported by the second engineer the ideal candidate should be able to take on all tasks with commitment and determination, whilst working towards becoming a valued member of the vessel's professional team. The right candidate should demonstrate a high level of skill across the board in terms of maritime equipment and machinery, leadership and organisation and meeting the on-going class requirements of the vessel. The right candidate should hold a minimum of a Y3 COC with an MTU course endorsement or a 2nd Eng COC with all valid maritime certificates and qualifications in order. The vessel is currently based in the Baltic Sea and shall be laid up until summer next year allowing the incoming Chief Engineer a great opportunity to familiarize themselves with the vessel. Crew accommodation is currently being provided.
Candidates must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
The start date for this position is the 22nd November 2021. COVID restrictions including any potential quarantine will be observed prior to joining.
